Participants of an online study that included more than 300 small business owners across Australia found that sixty per cent would consider using a broker to utilise their “advice or opinion”.

Key findings from the study included:

• 86 per cent of small businesses would return to their broker for support in obtaining commercial finance in the future
• 41 per cent wanted to get the “best price possible on finance”

More notably, 31 per cent of participants said that they would use a broker due to a “lack of time to independently arrange” finance.

The main takeaway from the research is that there are plentiful opportunities for brokers to expand into asset finance.
